Just wrapped up filming at an old kafene in Cyprus, n Avgorou. Nothing beats the click-clack of backgammon tiles and the aroma of strong cypriot coffee. Old-friends huddled around worn boards, each move a mix of skill and luck. These places (Kafenedes) are where time slows down and traditions live on.
